Ice Cave on LPE88: how the x3 Ice Wild and the feature bet button work

Ice Cave, in the LPE88 (Lucky Palace) app, looks simple. It has one decision in it that's worth thinking about, though: the feature bet button.

The look and sound of Ice Cave

The background is a tidy cave in layers of blue, with icicles hanging round the edges. The five reels are fairly small and opaque, which leaves room to see the detail in the ice. The soundtrack carries on from the intro screen with a cold, echoing tone. If it gets on your nerves, the volume control on screen mutes or lowers it quickly.

The Ice Wild

The Ice Wild substitutes for regular symbols, and any line win it's part of is multiplied by 3. That multiplier is where most of the game's better results come from.

Should you switch on the feature bet?

Above the spin button sits a feature bet button you can turn on or off. Turning it on raises your total bet by 1.5 times. In return, the Ice Wild can also land on reel 5, working together with reels 3 and 4.

What it doesn't do is raise the value of symbol wins. Your line bet stays the same, so every combination pays exactly what it did before. You're paying extra for more chances at a wild, not for bigger payouts.

So a 1.00 spin becomes 1.50 with the button on. If you use it, lower your base stake so the session lasts as long as you planned.
